Vórtex is a curatorial project that begins with a very specific and rather strange space: a cylindrical room covered in LED screens, like a kind of immersive portal between worlds. From there, I am shaping a digital art collection and a residency program that connect art, science, technology, and nature.
The first iteration of the project explores themes such as water, sustainability, biology, marine ecology, and turtles (yes, turtles). Vórtex opens with a version of “The Rhythm of the Ocean”, a creation by the duo Desilence with music by electronic music pioneer Suzanne Ciani.
